All the numbers presented in the article are taken directly from our dashboards.
Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) is famously among the top-listed companies of the US in terms of market capitalization, operating a diversified retail, technology, and cloud-computing enterprise with a global footprint.
Its retail operations incorporate online platforms and physical stores, offering first-party merchandise, third-party seller products, and subscription services through Amazon Prime. The company also designs and sells its own consumer electronics (Kindle, Fire, Echo, Ring, Blink, and Eero) and invests in original media content.
Through Amazon Web Services (AWS), a broad suite of cloud infrastructure and AI-related services—computing, storage, databases, analytics, and machine learning—are provided to enterprises, developers, and other organizations worldwide. Additional business activities include advertising, fulfillment services for third-party sellers, and digital content platforms that support independent creators.
Operations
In Q4 2025, management highlighted significant additions of power capacity to the AWS division as it was already showing signs of stronger growth, with plans to double total power capacity by the end of 2027.
By the time of early 2026, a major strategic partnership with OpenAI was announced, with a reported $50B commitment on the part of Amazon, and with both companies expanding their already existing cloud agreement by approximately $100B over eight years. The partnership also includes co-development of the Stateful Runtime Environment on Amazon Bedrock and customized models for Amazon’s own applications. Its relationship with Anthropic was also deepened, where an additional investment of $5B (with up to $20B more, subject to milestones), building on prior investments, was announced. Anthropic committed to spend more than $100B on AWS technologies over the next ten years and secured access to up to 5 gigawatts of Trainium capacity across current and future generations.
Q1 2026 saw AWS revenue growing 28% YoY, the fastest in 15 quarters. The run-rates for AI services and custom-chips both continued their rapid expansions. Management reaffirmed elevated capital expenditure plans for 2026 (initially guided around $200B), the majority directed toward AI and AWS infrastructure.
Valuation

Key Takeaways
One of the world’s largest and most established enterprises. ✔️
Huge competitive advantages, less prone to disruption. ✔️
Growth rate of 33% exceeds the 20% cost of equity. ✔️
At the time of writing, AMZN stock is trading at a 3.46% discount to our estimate, placing it almost directly on top of its fair value.
Risks
Elevated capital intensity required to meet AI-related demand has led to negative free cash flow (FCF) in the first half of 2026, after 3 consecutive years of positive FCF. ❌
Intense antitrust pressures from federal and state regulators targeting its market dominance, pricing rules, and advertising practices. ❌
Execution and monetization risk tied to the scale of current infrastructure build-out. ❌
Sustained Performance & Conclusion
Continued productivity gains in the retail and logistics networks. ⚠️
Ability to maintain operating leverage while absorbing elevated capital expenditure. ⚠️
Conversion of large multi-year AWS and AI infrastructure commitments into durable high-margin revenue. ⚠️
Every metric points to a premium company with blue-chip stock value and a massive market share that has successfully built up and sustained a diversified approach to its business operations. At the time of writing, the market has priced it precisely onto its fair value by our projections—and that is after a ~13% drop from its ATH back in August of this year, with one of the conclusions that can be brought up by such a combination of valuation and price action being that the company, large as it is, still maintains a massive growth potentiality yet to be seen.
